Your Lytle Pirates put up a fierce fight against Pleasanton this past Friday night but came up short 34-14.  The Eagles came to town having steamrolled 3 opponents by an average of 45 points each but the Pirates stepped up to the challenge and kept it close until late in the 3rd quarter.   Defensively, the Pirates had good performances from Linebacker Nate Medrano, Defensive Linemen Armando Martinez, and Orlando Medrano, Secondary players Miguel Guajardo, and Jordan Ramirez.

Offensively the Pirates matched Pleasanton to 14-14 first half tie.  Bad field position hampered the Pirates in the decisive 3rd quarter.  Offensive standouts were RB Nathan Medrano, WR Jordan Ramirez, and Offensive lineman Jonathan Ramirez.
On Special Forces newcomer Isaiah Martinez, Lorenzo Huerta, and Luis Rodriguez turned in good performances.

This Friday the Pirates finish pre district with a visit to Boerne at 7:30.  We look forward to getting the team ready to be playing its best football during the district season.  Come out and support these young men.  It really matters when our kids look up to the stands and see a full house of supporters.  Kudos to all   who came out on a rainy Friday night and supported the Pirates.

Go Pirates!
