On March 1st, 10 Lady Pirate Powerlifters competed in the Girls Regional Powerlifting meet in Pleasanton, Tx. It was quite an emotional roller coaster ride for us all. The girls have competed, laughed, and cried together. This was a meet for them to enjoy the sisterhood they created one last time, as this would be the last time they competed together.

We are proud to have had 10 young ladies advance this far, each and every year our squad as grown bigger and stronger. The girls work ethic is a contributing factor for the increase of the number of athletes we qualify for Regional’s. We have a young team and are looking forward to having most of them back next year. For our seniors moving on to bigger and better things, we could not have had a successful team without them. We are proud that they will carry on the tradition of raising the bar as far as expectations go. For our ladies moving on to the State Meet, they will be working extremely hard the next two weeks to put on the best performance possible, as we compete with the best lifters in the state.
