Happy international coffee day.  This weekend the Junior High ran in the SA home school cross country meet.  We had two teams compete and 4 seventh grade boys.   We learned a great deal in the meet.  Each race had about 80 runners and none of the groups started the race well being near the back in all the races.  When I asked one of my seventh grade boys what caused the poor start he said, “Coach, there were sooo many runners.”  We know we must start better but even with the poor start the Pirates ran well.

This 8th grade boys team continues to improve.  They improve because they work hard in practice.  We run in two weeks at the Poth meet.  The 8th grade boys will try to defend the meet championship that the 8th grade boys won last year.  Never in the history of Lytle Junior High CC has a team ever won a meet for two consecutive years.
