Last night the Lytle Pirates hosted the Devine Warhorses in what turned out to be an exciting game. The Pirates once again played an excellent 1st quarter. Devine would answer back and take the lead in the 2nd quarter taking a 3 point lead at the break. Our boys have struggled all year with the 3rd quarter but last night they were able to keep pace with the Warhorses and went into the 4th only down four. A couple of miscues on defense allowed Devine to hit 2 big 3 point shots that gave the Warhorses the cushion they needed to win the game. The Pirates played a tough game and our coaching staff is very proud of our effort. We will travel to Boerne this Friday as we close out the first round of district play. Thank you for your support.

The freshmen boys defeated Devine last night to improve their record to 3-1 in District play.  The boys played an overall good game.  Some of the things we preach about in practice are finally start to show on the court.  The effort, intensity, and hustle were on display for the majority of the game which led us to a 57-34 victory I believe.  The guys will travel to Boerne Friday to wrap up the first round of district play.
