Lytle Softball welcomed former district foe Crystal City back to town last night for action under the lights and blustery weather.
JV allowed 7 runs in the 1st inning, but regained their composure and decided to rally the troops in order to claw back to an 11-10 victory in the bottom of the 4th inning as time expired!
As the drizzle continued to thicken and temperature dropped, the varsity arctic warriors took control of the game immediately jumping out to a 9-1 lead after the first inning. Every batter in the Pirate lineup got on base and Macy Smith once again struck out double digit Javalinas. Lytle finished the game 13-1 on a run rule in the 5th. The Pirates run their season record to 7-3 (2-0 in front of the home crowd and 4-1 in less than ideal weather).
Both teams travel to Dilley this weekend for tournament play if the weather holds.
