Pirate softball was back in action with a road trip to Bandera to face the second place Bulldogs. Bandera was able to avenge a first round loss at the hands of the Pirates with a 5-2 victory last night.  The Pirates were able to put up 9 hits from 7 batters in the lineup including a 2 RBI triple by Precious Carrillo in the 5th, but 2 errors and some power hitting by Bandera was too much to overcome.

The varsity girls still control their post–season destiny with a home matchup against Fredericksburg this Friday and a trip to Hondo Tuesday in the final game of the regular season. This is a great group of girls so tell them you believe in the next couple of days!

The JV hitting machine kept also kept rolling with a 14-1 victory in Bandera to keep their district record flawless at 8-0.  These ladies have now run ruled every district opponent in each of the 8 games which is not an every day occurrence.  They have 10-0 in their sights and we are excited to see them succeed!
