Beginning with a tough and experienced Harlandale opponent, the Pirates struggled offensively and turnovers proved detrimental as the Pirates lost 69-27. On Monday, November 21, Lytle traveled to Bandera to play the Bulldogs. Although play improved, the Pirates struggled to hit free throws down the stretch, leading to a 40-46 loss. The road trip rounded out against the Poteet Aggies on Tuesday November 22. Facing a very quick and athletic Aggie team, the Pirates fought hard but came up short at the end, losing 39-46. The play from Alex Mullins has greatly improved as he has helped the team with critical rebounds and much needed points in the paint. Isaiah Gomez has done a great job defensively while Deandre Harden continues to drive the Pirates offensively. The Pirates Varsity Boys Basketball Team is 1-4 on the season and will resume play, this Friday at the Hondo Tournament against Cole HS at 9am. Go Pirates!
