After having the first part of the week without a game, the Pirate Softballers were hungry to get back into game action and travelled to Hondo to complete the first round of district play.  The girls jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first and never looked back as the girls ran their record to 18-4 and 5-0 in district competition with a 16-3 victory over the Owls.

Every batter in the Lytle lineup finished the night with a hit.  Multiple hit ladies were:  (3) Deja Darby and (2) Macy Smith, Sam Dear and Sadie Bippert.

The Pirate defense made plays and Smith struck out 11 Hondo batters on the evening.

Lytle will host 4 of its 5 final games at home in the next two and a half weeks.  Devine comes to Lytle tomorrow night with games at 5 / 7 and the Pirates take their last road trip of the year to Boerne on Friday.

JV also has a nice night, winning with an 8-0 score.  They are now 7-5 on the year with a 2-2 record in district play.
