Lytle Softball's district win streak came to an end last night in front of a packed home crowd against Devine with a disappointing 2-1 loss.
The Arabians converted a game opening double into a run in the first, but Macy Smith's 8th homerun of the year (4th in district) quickly tied the game back up in the bottom of the inning. The game stayed scoreless for both teams until the top of the 7th when Devine scored again on another leadoff double.
Lytle's offense was uncharacteristically undisciplined at the plate and was not able to mount a comeback. The girls remain in 1st place in District 29-4A action at 5-1 with an 18-5 overall record. They will resume action this Friday in Boerne with a varsity game only at 6pm.
